Welcome to the #dedoc° Travel Grant application to attend the Global Summit to End Diabetes Stigma!

#dedoc° offers 60 travel grants for diabetes advocates to attend the Global Summit to End Diabetes Stigma, taking place on March 28-29 in Jaipur, India. Applications will be reviewed by #dedocº in close alignment with the Summit Steering Committee. All travel grants will be managed by #dedoc°. We thank our Visionary Partner, Breakthrough T1D, as well as other generous sponsors and partners of the Summit for the opportunity to offer these grants.

A #dedoc° travel grant for the Global Summit to End Diabetes Stigma includes:

  • Free registration.
  • 3 nights' free accommodation* at the Marriott Jaipur Hotel, in Jaipur, India, from Friday, 27th March 2026 (arrival and check-in) until Monday, 30th March 2026 (check-out and departure), with accommodation booked via the Summit registration webpage.
  • Air travel to Jaipur, India, with flights booked through #dedoc°'s dedicated booking platform.
  • Local transportation from your place of residence to the nearest airport (i.e. bus, train or taxi), as well as transportation from Jaipur airport to the Marriott Jaipur Hotel on Friday 27th March and return on Monday 30th March, if required.
  • Reimbursement of visa, passport and insurance fees as needed.

If you have already been advised by the Summit organisers that you have been awarded free registration and accommodation, you still need to apply for a #dedoc° travel grant separately if seeking support for air travel, local transport and fees!

Successful applicants will be responsible for arranging their own passport, visa, health insurance and vaccinations (if required), and keeping original receipts of all expenses to submit for reimbursement after the conference. Any questions, please message voices@dedoc.org

#dedoc° travel grants are available for diabetes advocates with lived experience who are:

  • Interested in contributing actively to the Global Summit to End Diabetes Stigma – this is an engaging two-day workshop, not a passive conference.
  • Committed to the #dedoc° principle of #PayItForward.
  • Dependent on financial support to be able to attend.

#dedoc° travel grants are NOT available to:

  • Employees of pharma or MedTech companies.
  • Healthcare professionals, researchers or paid employees of diabetes organisations.
  • Volunteers and non-paid staff of diabetes organisations are encouraged to seek funding from their diabetes organisation before applying for a #dedoc° travel grant.

Priority will be given to diabetes advocates with lived experience who:

  • Live in a low or middle-income country.
  • Have had a contribution accepted for inclusion in the Summit program.
  • Have been accepted as a speaker for the Summit program.

As the number of travel grants is limited, we ask that you DO NOT APPLY if you do not fit the above criteria, can find other sources of funding or would be able to self-fund your participation. A limited number of #dedoc° travel grants will be made available to advocates from high income countries; please let us know why you need this support via your application, or email voices@dedoc.org

Successful applicants will be responsible for:

  • Arranging their own visa, health insurance and vaccinations (if required),
  • Booking their flights through #dedoc°‘s dedicated travel platform, and
  • Keeping valid receipts of all expenses to submit for reimbursement after the conference.

Applications will be reviewed on a "first-come, first-served" basis until the total number of available travel grants has been reached.

We look forward to receiving your application!
Together, we can #EndDiabetesStigma.
